Description

This attractive sideboard dates from c.1920s/30s. It is a lovely golden colour and is constructed from oak, some solid, some plywood. The sideboard has a shaped back rail and a stepped top. Beneath the centre part are two small drawers and a shaped lower apron, and at either of this is a single drawer over a single-door cupboard each with one fixed wooden shelf inside. The drawers and doors retain their decorative metal handles there is some floral carving to the back rail and drawer fronts. The piece is supported on a shaped plinth base and has a subtle serpentine front.

Condition: Overall this handsome piece is in good usuable condition with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some scuffing and wear to the woodwork as might be expected and the piece is overall a little faded. There are a few marks and scratches to the top, and some staining inside the drawers.
