Description

This antique cultivator or plough looks to date from c.1880. It has no maker's marks or labels. It is constructed from cast iron with a single wheel at the front. It was intended to be drawn by horses, although it is now missing its wooden handles.

Condition: Overall suitable for display rather than use. The piece has the wear you might expect from an antique piece of agricultural machinery that has been outside for many years. It is rusted and has been over-painted over the years. It is missing its wooden handles and one blade from the central arm. The bolts and joints are seized and do not move. The wheel does go round.

The approx. measurements are as follows:
89cm cm high, 287cm long, 79cm wide (to maximums).
