Description

This lovely Maundy Money set dates from 1896. It is retained within its original red leather lined Spink & Son Ltd. case. The set consists of four sterling silver coins - a four penny, three penny, two penny and one penny piece.

Condition: Overall in good condition, with some storage wear. There is some wear to the edges in places - the four pence coin has a nick in the outer edge. The case has some scuffing, discolouration and wear, and some grubbiness. The lid does not quite sit flush with the base. There is a heavier scuff to the top of the box. There is some tarnishing to the metal fixings of the case.
