Description

This lovely gold gold brooch looks to date from the first half of the twentieth century. It is marked to one side '9ct' for 9ct gold, although there are no maker's or date marks. It is stone set with what we believe to be an amethyst in the centre. It retains its safety chain and a period leather-covered lined box.

Condition: Overall in good condition with some wear consistent with age and use. The piece is a little grubby and has some slight tarnishing. The pin is a little bent / misshapen. There is a small split to one side of the stone setting. The case has some scuffing and wear and may not be original.

The approx. measurements are as follows:
4.5cm wide, 1.5cm high.
