Description

This attractive display cabinet dates from c.1910 but is in the older Chippendale style. It has a mahogany frame with double astral-glazed doors and canted corners at the front with blind fretwork decoration. The doors are lockable and retain a working key. The cabinet is supported on elegant tapering legs. The interior is fabric lined.

Condition: Overall this handsome piece is in good usuable condition with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some scuffing and wear to the woodwork as might be expected and the piece is overall a little faded. There is some loss to the top at one side, and this has been basically (and badly) repaired at some point. There is some further more minor signs of repair in places. The fabric-lining is frayed and faded and has some marks and stains. There are some nails in the top shelf.

The approx. measurements are as follows:
Overall - 178cm high, 115cm wide, 38.5cm deep (to maximums).
