Description

This pair of antique fire dogs are very much in the arts & crafts style. We would estimate them to date from the first half of the twentieth century. They have no maker's marks. The fire dogs have lovely shaped cast iron bases and copper roundels set into the top.

Condition: Overall grubby and worn and in need of cleaning and renovation. The bases have some rusting and corrosion. One of the copper roundels is dented.

The approx. measurements are as follows:
30cm high, 15cm wide, 23cm deep.
