Description

This lovely ring looks to originally date from the nineteenth century. However, please note that it has been repaired and re-backed at some point and no hallmarks are now visible. We believe it to be gold with a small central diamond (tested) surrounded by seed pearls. It appears to be a mourning ring and has a small glass-fronted compartment behind the stones. It is UK ring size L. The ring is contained within an antique (but probably not original) ring box.

Condition: Overall in fair condition with some wear consistent with age and use. The ring has been repaired and rebacked at some point and no hallmarks are visible. It is grubby and the central diamond has moved in its mount. It would benefit from being professionally cleaned. The ring band is thin. The box has some discolouration, scuffing and wear. There is some loss to the paper covering and it is overall grubby.
