Large Victorian Earthenware Crockpot

Description

This lovely crockpot dates from c.1900. It is constructed from a red earthenware, probably teracotta, and is glazed on the inside of the pot and the outside of the lid. The pot is of large proportions, measuring 38cm across the top of the pot and 38cm high with the lid.

Condition: Overall this handsome piece is in good usuable condition with some grubbiness and wear consistent with age and use. There is some chipping and loss, and some loss to the glaze. There is some heavier chipping around the edge of the lid. There are some manufacuring imperfections as might be expected.

Overall - 38cm high, 38cm diameter (to maximums).
