Description

This lovely antique country armchair dates from the late nineteenth century but is older (Georgian) in style. It has what we believe to be a solid beech and elm frame with a decorative turned spindle back, shaped arms, and it retains what looks to be its original rush seat. The chair is supported on shaped front legs and square back legs with chamfered edges. The front legs terminate in pad feet.

Condition: Overall this chair is in good usuable condition, but does have some wear consistent with age and use. There is some scuffing and wear to the woodwork as might be expected and the piece is overall a little faded. There is a split in the rush seat at the front.

The approx. measurements are as follows:
Overall - 111cm high, 61cm wide, 49cm deep (to maximums) 46cm high to seat.
