Description

This sweet bisque-head doll dates from c.1910. She has '435 Germany' moulded into the back of her head. She has a bisque head with later fixed glass eyes, and an open mouth. She has a jointed five-piece composition body with bent arms and straight legs. She is wearing a period outfit, comprising underclothes, a dress with feather trim and matching bonnet, and shoes.

Condition: Overall in good condition with some wear consistent with age. She is overall a little grubby and would benefit from a careful clean. She has what we believe to be later replacement glass eyes that have been fixed in place. Her wig is loose. Her arms and legs are grubby and have some wear around the joints. There is some minimal cracking to her body and some chipping to the toes on her left foot. There is some chipping to her fingers. Her clothes have some discolouration and wear. There is some loss to the feather trim of her dress and there is some fraying and holing to her bonnet.

The approx. measurements are as follows:
26cm high.
