Description

This vintage half hunter pocket watch appears to date from the early twentieth century. The movement is marked for the Nirvana Watch Co. and the gold-plated case was made by the Dennison Watch Case Co. Ltd. The watch has a nice inscription to the inner rear cover which reads: 'Presented to Mr G. A. H. Marshman President New Swindon Industrial Co-operative Society Ltd. by the Architects Dept. C.W.S. Ltd. London. on the occasion of the Opening of the Garage Colborne Street, Swindon Oct 13th 1923.' Please note tht the watch is not currently in working order and requires repair.

Condition: Overall in need of repair and restoration, and sold for spares or repair. The watch winds and ticks, but is missing most of its hands. The dial is grubby, cracked and damaged with some loss. There is some scratching and wear to the case, and some denting and wear to the gold-plating.

The approx. measurements are as follows:
5cm diameter.
