Description

This lovely vintage Pelham Puppet item dates from the 1940s/50s. She is not a puppet, but rather a free-standing model of a puppet, probably produced for display purposes in a shop window or at a trade fair. She has a hand-painted type SL head with original hairstyle, wire-framed poseable limbs, composition hands and wooden feet. One foot is attached to a fibreboard base. The base has a screw hole in, suggesting that it was probably screwed down in a display at some point. She is wearing her original vintage outfit and is contained within her original cardboard box. Please note that neither the model nor the box are branded, but both are identifiable as being early Pelham items.

Condition: Overall in very good condition with some light storage wear. There is some minor discolouration and wear to the paintwork in places. Her hair is a little dishevelled. The box has some storage wear consistent with age and some squashing. The lid is creased and has some tearing.
