Description

This antique overmantle mirror dates from the early ninteenth cenutry. It has a lovely simple design with carved columns to either side. It has been over-painted at some point, and would benefit from restoration. It retains its original three-piece mirrored glass with bevelled top and sides. It has had a replacement back panel fitted at some point.

Condition: Overall this mirror is in usuable condition, but does have some wear consistent with age and use and would benefit from some sympathetic restoration. The mirror glass has some corrosion and crazing to the back as might be expected and has some significant dark specks and marks. The frame has been overpainted at some point, but not very well, and would benefit from being re-done. There are some areas of wood loss and there is a piece of moulding missing from one side. The back panel has been replaced at some point.

Overall - 88.5cm high, 117cm wide, 10cm deep (to maximums).
