Description

This antique hot water urn dates from the second half of the nineteenth century. It is made from copper with brass handle supports, a brass tap and ring-turned wooden handles. It is supported on a pedestal base. There are no maker's marks.

Condition: Overall in good condition with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some grubbiness, wear and tarnishing and some denting. One of the handle supports is missing its screw at the back, and this would benefit from replacement. There is some rusting and corrosion in places, incuding to the filter or guard which covered the tap opening inside, which has mostly rusted away. The tap screw is stiff but does turn.

The approx. measurements are as follows:
39cm high, 35cm wide, 35cm deep.
