First World War 9ct. Gold Medallion Pendant

Photos

Description

This unusual First World War medallion was made by Walker & Hall and is struck in 9ct. gold. It features two soldiers on the front and cast into the back is 'Bradley 1914-1918'. It is inscribed underneath this to H. Munt. The medallion was clearly produced to commemorate the First World War, but we are unsure who it was issued by - it may refer to one of the UK towns or villages called Bradley. The medallion is fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1919 with the maker's mark for Walker & Hall. It weighs approx. 2.2g. The medallion is unboxed.

Condition: Overall in good condition with some wear consistent with age. The medallion is overall grubby. There is some surface tarnishing, scratching and wear and some minor indentation. It would benefit from a careful clean.

The approx. measurements are as follows:
2cm diameter (not including hanging loop).
