Description

This part set of Paragon china dates from the first half of the twentieth century. It is decorated in the Bird of Paradise Pattern and is transfer-printed and hand-painted with purple rims. All pieces are marked with the Paragon star mark in black to the base. Present are:
5x tea cups
11x saucers
10x side plates.

Condition: Overall in fair - good condition. There is some wear to the paintwork in places and some surface scratching. The set is a little grubby and has some manufacturing imperfections as might be expected. There is some discolouration and foxing (brown spotting) in places. Some pieces have hairline cracks (including most of the cups) and some are a little crazed.

The approx. measurements are as follows:
Cup - 6.5cm high, 7.5cm diameter of top
Saucer - 13.5cm diameter
Plate - 17.5cm diameter.
