A truly exemplary Early 18thC Welsh Cupboard Dresser of highly sought after small size, rare bellied canopy rack form with beautifully shaped frieze and incredibly rare Elm wood construction - North Wales c1720. Of the highest quality and craftsmanship with absolutely outstanding grain, colour and patina and in the most incredible original condition.
There are dressers then there are dressers and they do not come any better or indeed much rarer than this beautiful example.
Constructed from heavy and stunningly grained elm throughout including backboards, drawer linings and shelves this dresser is extremely strong and sturdy and benefits from a single plank oak top of the most wonderful colour. With fantastic proportions and presence this is without doubt the nicest dresser of its type to become available on the market for a considerable time.
