Unusual because of its size this mirror or looking glass is from the late 18th century and retains most of its original paint decoration and carving, the plate itself is a contemporary mercury mirror but possibly a replacement. 1310mm high, 870mm wide and 60mm deep. Circa 1780. W J Gravener Antiques is a family owned business, started in 1963 by William who was joined by son, Mark in 1981 and continues today with the same ethos of dealing in fine quality English and Continental furniture, mirrors and decorative objects, from the 18th & 19th centuries.
