A splendid large Edwardian carved wooden chess set complete with wooden storage box.

The black pieces are a combination of turned Ebony and Ebonised Boxwood and the white pieces created from turned and carved Boxwood. They are slightly weighted and a really good size, a good substantial set to play with, the king measuring 3 1/2" tall.

The last photograph shows the set on a board which is not included and sold separately (subject to availability).

Excellent condition, with the storage box measuring 7 3/4" x 5 1/4" x 3 1/4".
