A stunning original antique mirror, beautifully made from solid carved gilt wood. I’m not sure if it’s French or English & I would date it from around the 1860-1880 period.

It is of extremely fine quality, with exquisitely detailed carving throughout. It is a great size, and has a bevelled glass mirror with slightly distressed silvered backing. This is symmetrical, so can be hung either portrait or landscape.

Overall it is in very good condition, with some minor age related wear to the frame it has acquired a gorgeous patina over the years & has loads of character.
