Offered for sale is a figure depicting the Beatrix Potter character "Diggory Diggory Delvet". This cute little chap, was modelled by David Lyttleton and was produced by Beswick from 1982 to 1988.
He appears in a collection of original nursery rhymes, written by Beatrix Potter between 1893 and 1904, and first published in 1917 entitled "Appley Dapply's Nursery Rhymes" .
Diggory Diggory Delvet, A little old man in black velvet. He digs and he delves, you can see for yourselves, The mounds dug by Diggory Delvet.
