We are offering this early and rather dainty Blue & White transfer printed pearlware Sauce Ladle, which has a flower and foliage border around the inside edge of the bowl and a sprig of flowers, possibly dahlias or chrysanthemums, to the centre. The handle is straight, blue printed for three quarters of its length, with an acanthus mount to the back of the bowl and a scroll end. The ladle is by an unidentified maker, as it is unmarked and we have, as yet, been unable to identify the pattern. The ladle is dated between 1780 and 1820.

Diameter of bowl: 2 3/8" - 6cm

Total length: 6 1/2" - 16.5cm

Condition: Excellent condition. There are no cracks, chips, crazing or restoration.
