Dating to around 1900 / 1910, this is a fabulous all-original magnifying glass made from solid English brass, very heavy and solid and would enhance any desk-top. The well constructed handle with a screwed construction joining it to the magnifier frame, is finished with quality Mother of Pearl shell with its attractive iridescent qualities.

The brass was extremely dirty when I purchased it, it has just arrived back from my restorer where it has been professionally polished to gleam. The original magnifier is extremely strong, a very usable piece, as useful as handsome. The lens has remained in excellent condition. Excellent condition, measuring an impressive 10" in length with a magnifier having a diameter measuring 4 1/2".
