A fine Worcester porcelain fluted coffee cup and saucer with scalloped rim and the cup with a bifurcated Meissen style handle with acanthus leaf moulded terminals. Painted with a "hop trellis" pattern after a Sevres original, with over-gilt decoration and gilt rims and handle detail. Unmarked, c.1775.

Provenance: Collections of Sir Jeremy Lever & Bayard.

The saucer measures 13.7cm (5 3/8") wide and 2.5cm (1") high and the cup measures 6.3cm (2 1/2") high and 6.3cm (2 1/2") rim to rim.

In excellent condition with no damage, repair or restoration. Minor handling wear to the gilt on the rims and the centre of the saucer. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
