First period Worcester porcelain scallop shell moulded pickle dish painted in the two-peony rock bird pattern, c.1754-1760. Workman's mark to the base.

It measures 11cm (4 3/8") by 9.3cm (3 5/8) wide and 2.8cm (1 1/8") high.

In very good condition: three small shallow surface chips to the rim and a nick to the reverse. Very fine scattering of kiln dust to the glaze on the reverse and a small area of slight discolouration to the rim in the top right corner. Very nice neatly painted example. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
