A lovely large English 18th Century giltwood mirror of Chinese Chippendale design with pagoda surmount, exaggerated C srolls and frame of entwined branches with peaches nestled in their leaves, the base with inverted C scrolls enclosing a fleur de lis and flanked by multiple Chippendale motifs, the frame with attractive punched and incised decoration.

The mirror plate is an early replacement with a beautiful soft colour and in very good condition with a soft blue/grey hue and a lovely clear reflection.

A large and extremely beautiful Georgian mirror, in very good condition with some small restorations consistent with age.


Dimensions are:

51 inches high, 26 inches wide max. The plate is 29 inches high and 16.5 inches wide
