John Piper (1903-1992) – a length of screen printed fabric designed in 1961 for Sanderson entitled 'Northern Cathedral. Arthur Sanderson commissioned the artist as part of Sanderson’s centenary celebrations in 1960. There are three pattern repeats on a predominantly green ground which would each make a decorative hanging, particularly if mounted onto a stretcher.

The entire piece measures 124cm wide (including selvedge) and 137cm in length. Each ‘panel, measures 121cm x 40cm.

The fabric is in very good condition, the selvedge showing the title 'Arundel' An original Screen Print by Sanderson.
