Ladies MOP Opera Glasses By LeMaire Paris In Pouch
This is an incredibly well made Pair of Ladies Mother of Pearl Opera Glasses made by LeMaire of Paris a name synonymous with high quality, which are housed in a suede pouch. They are made in gilded brass and are in immaculate condition. They bear the Bee motif of LeMaire on the eye pieces and on the central metal boss, as shown. These glasses are smaller than the normal opera glasses, which is why we are sure they were made for a lady.
The eye pieces are mother of pearl, as is the focus wheel and the exterior of the barrels.
The pouch is made of very fine suede and is lined in velvet. It has a purse type metal closure.
Maximum Width of glasses: 3 3/4 inches - 9.5cm
Length when extended: 2 inches - 5cm
Condition: Immaculate. There is no damage to the Mother of Pearl and the metalwork is like new. The pouch is in very good condition.
