Large pair of French gilt panel mirrors Pair of antique mirrors pair of gilt mirrors oval mirror %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
Very decorative and large pair of French gilt panel mirrors, circa 1880.
Being “panel” mirrors, these do have rather more presence to the more typical framed mirrors, the backing panel giving them more depth and are quite unusual.
Beautifully moulded frames and retaining much of their original gold leaf.
These mirrors will have very well as alcove mirrors, over console tables but would also look stunning as a pair of bathroom mirrors too.
Both mirrors are in good condition, with just some minor age related marks here and there.
Priced as the pair.
Measuring:
35 1/2 inches or 90 cm high
28 1/2 inches or 72.5 cm wide.
Mirror aperture
23 3/4 inches or 60.5 cm high
19 1/4 inches or 49 cm wide
