Rare Bourdon & Richard Barometer
A rare middle of the 19th century French barometer by Bourdon & Richard on a metal stand.
The mechanism of the aneroid barometer was designed by Eugene Bourdon (1808-1884) and is fitted with his characteristic crescent-shaped flat vacuum tube.

The barometer rests on a metal stand that has a pair of mythical winged crane like birds supporting the barometer on a shaped plinth base.
This rare barometer is in good working condition. (Circa 1860)
