A set of three graduated black lacquered papier mache bowls decorated in gilt with what I believe to be Burmese Chinthes (lion like creature half lion and half dog or dragon) often seen at the entrance of pagodas and temples in Burma and other Southeast Asian countries.

The bowls measure 10, 8 and 6.25in diameter and are 1.5, 1.25 and 1in high.
