This pretty silver Pillar Box Money Box would make a lovely christening gift. Of plain form with hinged cover and hasp and staple fastening it stands 10.2cm in height. The interior is lined with dark blue velvet, which is in good condition considering its age. The marks are rubbed but can be deciphered as Chester 1903. the makers mark is CSFS for Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders and James Francis Hollings Shepherd. Overall the piece is in very good condition.
