Solid silver minaudiere bridal wedding clutch RARE
This is an exceptionally rare & very finely made solid silver minaudiere made by Florentine master silversmith Mazzocca Siero di Martiniano who entered his mark in 1935 & who is believed to not to have been making pieces after 1955. The minaudiere is fully hallmarked. The background for the whole outer case and internal decorative features is the most delightful etched pattern with chased floral & foliage shown in exquisitely fine detail. This is probably one of the best made minaudieres I have seen with rounded edges a concealed hinge & a push button hidden mechanism disguised by the continuation of the chased design. Push this semi-circular concealed button & this activates a spring loaded catch which ensures the case glides open to reveal an excellent bevelled mirror & matching hinged comb holder, money/cigarette clip & powder well complete with the original unused sifter. There is a further compartment ideal for lipstick. The whole piece is in the most gorgeous condition. All clasps & hinges work perfectly.
This vanity case is superb & not at all cumbersome like so many which means it will make an ideal wedding / bridal clutch & finish of the most beautiful bridal ensemble.
You can see from the dimensions which are 4 1/2" X 3 1/4" that it is ideal to fit in the bride's hand as she walks down the isle or for that really special evening when you are dressed to impress.
This wonderful vanity weighs 309.2 grams.
