Tall late 19th.c. French pier glass c.1880. Retaining the original and evocatively tarnished mirror plates within a moulded giltwood frame with rounded top corners and bead carved edges. Some wear and repairs to the frame but with original gilding, nicely mellowed and worn through in places to reveal the red ground below. Original backboards. Mirror could be easily replaced if preferred to make a superb full length dressing mirror in a bedroom or dress shop perhaps.
