Made by Troughton & Simms, London, renowned scientific instrument makers, circa 1830, this (three draw) Brass & Black leather sleeve over mahogany barrel with sliding dust cap to eye piece and engraved maker’s’ mark, is sold along with the two other listed telescopes as decorative antique instruments.

Troughton & Simms telescope Size: Closed 7.25”/18.5cm & Open 21.5”/55cm.

Largest Telescope (3 draw) Brass & mahogany barrel.
Closed 9.5”/24cm & Open 28.25”/72cm.

Smallest Telescope (3 draw) Brass & Green aged barrel with sliding dust cap to eye piece and main lens cap.
Size: Open 14.5”/37cm & Closed 5.25”/13.5cm.
