Unusual Minton Holly & Mistletoe Tea Caddy c1880 Minton Tea Caddy %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
This unusual Minton Tea Caddy, modelled as a Parcel of Tea and handpainted with Holly and Mistletoe, dates from circa 1880.
It bears the impressed Minton Mark to the base and a date cipher which, although lightly impressed, is triangular in shape. There is also a number 1471.
The painted decoration is delightful, evoking thoughts of Winter and Christmas, with sprigs of Mistletoe and Holly.
The condition is good. There are no cracks, chips or restoration.
