A Signed Artist’s proof, black and white drypoint etching by William Walcot (1874-1943) depicting the River Tyne at Newcastle

Walcot was a watercolourist, draughtsman and etcher of architectural views. Born in Russia (his father was English and his mother was Russian), he studied architecture at St. Petersburg and, after further studies in Paris, practised for a few years in Moscow. He lived and worked in London.
