Palais Royale Gold Plated & MOP Opera Glasses 1860
A quality pair of mid 19th Century Exquisite French Gold Plated and mother-of-pearl mounted telescopic opera glasses with floral, scallop shell and scroll banded decoration. Each eyepiece detailed `Favray Palais Royale No 3. Made circa 1860.
A group of Parisian master craftsmen specialised in elaborate pieces which were allowed to have the Palais Royal Mark and sold in exclusive shops in Paris. Palais Royal pieces are now highly collectable and highly sought after.
Overall in excellent condition with no damage whatsoever. A quality pair of opera glasses.
