Vintage 9ct Gold Cuff Links, Smith & Pepper, 1967
Here we have a stylish pair of Vintage 9ct Gold Cuff Links from the 1960s. The cuff links are oval with a plain centre and an engine turned rim and are chain linked. There are no initials or personalisation on them, making them ideal to move on to a new owner.
The cuff links are made in Birmingham by Smith & Pepper Ltd and date to 1967. That's the year The Beatles released Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band as a reference point. Smith & Pepper Ltd were goldsmiths and silversmiths operating in Birmingham's famous antique jewellery quarter from the 1930s to the early 1970s. Their building is now the home of the Jewellery Quarter Museum.
Condition is very good with no dings, dents or damage and just the minimal surface wear that you would expect after over 50 years of good service. Please make sure to view all the photographs.
Each oval cuff link is 1.8cm by 1.3cm and the set together weighs in at a very respectable 5.2g of solid 9ct gold.
One cuff link has a full set of hallmarks on the back with the other three being marked just as 9ct gold (375 standard). The full set of hallmarks show the 9 and .375 stamps for 9ct gold, the anchor assay mark for Birmingham, the date letter S for 1967 and the slightly rubbed S & P makers' mark for Smith & Pepper Ltd.
Shipping in the UK is £10 by Royal Mail Special Delivery, which includes cover for the value of the cuff links.
Overseas customers, please ask us about shipping costs to your country before making a purchase.
